一枝花说出了自己来神都的缘由。自己本是子墟国人，几年前家乡有一种不死神兽即风生兽，外形和猫相似，以吸食人血维生，国王每天用一名奴隶喂养风生兽，有一天轮到一枝花，因不甘沦为怪物食物，一枝花同风生兽搏斗一番，最后竟打死了风生兽，无意中接触到风生兽血液，开始长出獠牙，后被当成妖怪。无法在家乡继续生活，当时国内出现了一位神秘医师，自称可以使人永葆青春，但必须服食风生兽骨，此人便是杜子虚。
