"Frozen Fire" Synopsis

Three years ago, Wu Gang was killed by the drug cartel K for being involved in drugs, and his son Wu Zhenfeng was expelled from the police for reckless violation of discipline. Wu Zhenfeng was heartbroken, and was stopped by his brother Chen Yu from leaving the country. On the way, the two were almost hijacked. Wu Zhenfeng was kidnapped by drug dealers to save Chen Yu, and they were never heard from again. At this moment, the fate of the two was completely rewritten.

Three years later, Chen Yu became an anti-drug police officer. Unexpectedly, Wu Zhenfeng returned and was implicated in the murder case. After Wu Zhenfeng was cleared of his suspicions, Chen Yu discovered that he had inextricable connections with drug trafficking groups. In order to completely annihilate drug trafficking groups, Chen Yu obeyed the arrangement of the superior department, took off his police uniform and started a new course of anti-drug career. "Ice, Rain and Fire" has made good attempts in subject matter control, characterization, image expression, etc. It expresses the current anti-drug work in a realistic way, which is contemporary, authentic and warning.

Generally speaking, the play demonstrates the anti-drug police's professionalism of upholding justice and not being afraid of hardships and dangers, especially the image of young policemen represented by Chen Yu, which is favored by the audience in this dimension. However, "Ice, Rain, and Fire" is still weak in its suspenseful detective narrative. Its image language tries to strengthen the tense atmosphere, but the core of the plot lacks interlocking logical tension, which ultimately compromises the excitement of the plot.
