32岁的李淑芬(林心如 饰)终于要结婚了，但是她的爸爸李金爽(猪哥亮 饰)对女婿高飞(李东学 饰)是越看越不爽，想到女儿从台湾要远嫁北京十分不舍，为难女婿的规矩订得比台湾101大楼还要高。

而高飞的父亲高守(寇世勋 饰)作为准公公，却要夹在前妻后妻中间左右逢源为儿子操办婚事，还要面对蛮横不讲理的亲家公，大定小定统统满足，敬酒都要贴在地面碰杯，唯恐伤了习俗。两家人因为不同的婚礼习俗互相犯难，但最终对儿女的爱胜过一切，内地台湾两家人喜结连理，大喜临门。

<p>32-year-old Li Shufen (played by Lin Xinru) is finally getting married, but her father Li Jinshuang (played by Zhu Geliang) is getting more and more unhappy with his son-in-law Gao Fei (played by Li Dongxue). Reluctant to give up, the rules for embarrassing the son-in-law are set higher than the Taiwan 101 building.
