从剧情的角度看：《独孤天下》与《独孤皇后》虽然都是讲述“独孤伽罗”的故事，但是《独孤天下》却是从宇文毓被宇文护扶持登基称帝到李世民登基称帝结束的剧情。虽然《独孤天下》中剧情演绎的历史跨度之长，但是编剧却用有限的集数将最主要的剧情讲述的非常到位，而且剧中还利用旁白解读的形式叙述一些剧情，反而可以帮助观众能够更加理解！

而《独孤皇后》的剧情则是讲述独孤信和赵贵为扳倒宇文护相继死亡，独孤家更是遭到宇文护的灭门，独孤伽罗因此嫁给杨坚相夫教子，更是在朝代更迭之下，独孤伽罗与隋文帝杨坚夫妻比肩开辟乱世，创下了一夫一妻制度的先河和享誉后世的"开皇之治"的传奇故事。虽然剧情开展的比较慢，但是可以看出该剧的重心在于独孤伽罗与隋文帝杨坚创立隋朝之后的故事！相比起《独孤天下》的剧情，《独孤皇后》虽然剧情漫长，但是看点却比较单一，观众只需要观摩杨坚与伽罗的爱情即可！

而从卡司配置角度看：无论是《独孤皇后》中的“双陈”组合，还是《独孤天下》里的“冰峰”组合，可以肯定的是都是实力派演员！虽然《独孤皇后》中的“陈晓”与“陈乔恩”不是第一次在一起合作，但是“陈乔恩”版的独孤伽罗比起“胡冰卿”版缺少了天真和活泼的感觉，反而在嫁给杨坚、产下一女成为母亲之后并没有过多的违和感！而“陈晓”版的杨坚比起“张丹峰”版多了一丝对独孤伽罗的温情，也少了一丝对权力的野心！

从角色人设角度看：无论是“独孤伽罗”还是“杨坚”作为主角的人设两部剧基本上大致相同，毫无可比之处！在配角方面《独孤天下》中的独孤般若狠辣，对权利拥有野心，可以说是一个不达目的誓不罢休的角色！而独孤曼陀则是不惜一切代价要比独孤伽罗优秀，攀比心和报复心十足！可是在《独孤皇后》中，同样作为配角的独孤般若反而给人一种随意欺凌的角色，而独孤曼陀更是没有出场机会！像类似的配角人设不相同的地方颇多，虽然这些角色由老演员演绎会让剧情变得更加饱满，但是角色太过优柔反而无法彰显演员的演技！
