李泽锋饰演的陆修远是陈毅的秘书，陈毅担任上海市市长期间，陆修远协助他，所以陈毅让陆修远和纪南音成为搭档，两人平时可以沟通，一起解决问题。乔振宇饰演的田国立是一名打入敌人内部的卧底，他所处的环境危机四伏，可是田国立不畏艰难，坚持自己的信仰，除了陈毅，纪南音、陆修远和田国立这几个角色都没有原型。
