紫霞和青霞本是佛祖的一对灯芯，两人日夜交替出现，紫霞下凡定下谁拔出紫霞剑就嫁给谁，至尊宝拔出宝剑，紫霞一直相信其是爱她的，在牛魔王逼迫紫霞嫁给他的过程中，紫霞与青霞和好，紫霞为了孙悟空中了一剑，最后死后再度化身紫霞，青霞仙子变回灯芯。

该片主要讲述了至尊宝为了救白晶晶而穿越回到五百年前，遇见紫霞仙子之后发生一段感情并最终成长为孙悟空的故事。

In order to save Bai Jingjing, Supreme Treasure used the Time Treasure Box, but accidentally traveled back to 500 years ago, and met the fairy Zixia who descended to earth. In order to get back the Moonlight Treasure Box, Supreme Treasure pretended to fall in love with Zixia. Zixia and Qingxia were originally a pair of wicks of the Buddha. The two appeared alternately day and night.
