该片讲述了家境贫寒的姜喜宝突逢巨变，生活面临种种困境。喜宝一筹莫展之际，却偶然间结识了单纯可爱的富家千金勖聪慧，并因此结识了她的父亲：一个单身多年的富商父亲勖存姿。无路可走的喜宝接受了勖存姿对于她学费和生活的资助，随着喜宝与勖存姿的相处，她发现自己慢慢地爱上了勖存姿。最终与勖存姿展开一段恋情，命运也因此彻底改变的故事。

喜宝其实也是一个渴望浪漫爱情的女孩，但是在现实中的不断打击下，她更知道面包的重要性，所以在爱情和面包中，她最后还是选择了面包。

喜宝的生活因为勖存姿有了天翻地覆的改变，但时间长了之后，喜宝的内心逐渐开始空虚起来，她又开始渴望一段浪漫的爱情，但勖存姿并不允许喜宝和别的男人走到一起，即使喜宝已经有了喜欢的人，勖存姿也不会成全他们的。总的来说，喜宝是一个比较悲惨的女孩。

The film tells the story of Jiang Xibao, who comes from a poor family, has undergone tremendous changes and faces various difficulties in life. When Xi Bao was at a loss, he accidentally met the innocent and lovely rich daughter Xu Conghui, and thus met her father: a wealthy businessman who has been single for many years, Xu Cunzi.
