由林君阳执导，贾静雯、吴慷仁领衔主演的电视剧《我们与恶的距离》于2019年3月24日在中国台湾播出。该剧主要讲述了因在李晓明无差别杀人案件中失去儿子的宋乔安与丈夫刘昭国，以及李晓明的家人、律师一起直面李晓明无差别杀人的原因和背后的真相的故事。该剧主要是以台湾2012年台南汤姆熊随机杀人案、2014年台北郑捷随机杀人事件等多起无差别杀人案件综合和改编而来。

其中与李晓明无差别杀人案件比较相似的就是，发生在2016年台湾街头的“小灯泡事件”。当时患有视觉失调症的犯案男子提着刀冲出来砍了正骑着脚踏车和妈妈一起散步的三岁的女童“小灯泡”，并且恶劣的砍了二十多刀。在大多数的无差别杀人案件中，凶手只有一个，可造成的伤害却是很大的，比如被害者家属的伤痛、加害者家属的压力以及舆论大众的恐慌。在《我们与恶的距离》中，真切的展示出了这些，还出现一个律师王赦去探究无差别杀人事件背后的犯罪动机。
