电影里的故事是虚构的，女人们被一群男人关在与世隔绝的镇子上，每到夜里她们就会受到男人的侵犯，因为被下药了，所以女人往往醒来后都不知道发生过什么，可是看到伤痕累累的身体，她们肯定是了解的，奈何不知道凶手是谁，无法报仇。

由于镇子比较封闭，没有避孕手段，女人怀孕是常见的事，她们就算生下孩子，也不知道孩子的父亲是谁。为了避免自己的女儿也遭遇同样的事情，这群女人趁着男人们去打仗，一起讨论以后该怎样生活，毕竟，不管反不反抗都会面临悲惨的境遇。

女人们经过谈话后，决定做出抗争，最后她们离开故乡，开始了新的生活，所以说遇到压迫就要反抗，为自己争取自由。
