在爆炸中包括老凯撒的女儿苏灵在内，众人身亡，淦天雷昏迷不醒，他的“好兄弟”车厘子不知去向。八年后淦天雷醒来了，但是却失忆了。

淦天雷与杨晓蕾、熊国良曾是警校的铁三角，为帮助杨解围打架受伤受到处分，离开警校后南下讨生活，后被凯撒集团车厘子挑中成为集团当中的一员，经过警方卧底的点化，成为线人屡建奇功。

该剧根据由辛志海原创剧本《破冰杀阵》改编而成的赵浚凯同名IP小说《黑白禁区》改编，讲述了卧底警察淦天雷，长达10多年游走在灰色地带，并在重创复苏后重启人生，如何依靠一段丢失的记忆去破解犯罪谜团的故事。
